Mission Partnerships

    St. Matthews has been able to extend its mission by supporting programmes of the following Mission Partners.  We are grateful to be able to build relationships with these outstanding community organizations while helping address local and global needs that align with our congregation's values.

    Recently, we sold some property and were able to dedicate a tithe (tenth) of the proceeds to build upon existing relationships we had with these organizations. So far, we have been able to provide financial support totalling $500,000.

    Creation of an online mental health management system.

    Canadian Foodgrains Bank Fund and Afghan refugee support.

    Food support programme for weekends and holidays, for 3 years.

    2+ shelter care rooms for 1 year.

    Face to Faith Fund: Support pastor-in-training (from overseas) with housing and living expenses for 4 years.

    Programming costs for 1 year.

    Staff position to work with youth in the Mental Health and Addictions Program for 1 year.

    Building costs of 54 Queen St. and new facility on Victoria St.

    Creation of church training materials on property redevelopment strategies.

    IT solution for high-needs seniors.
