Anthea Conway-White

    Anthea Conway-White graduated with a Master of Music in Historical Performance from the Royal College of Music (UK) in 2016. She earned an Honours Bachelor of Music with high distinction in Orchestral Performance, Music Theory and Music History from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2014 and that year was awarded the Music Faculty Gold Medal, as well as a Leading Edge Award from Arts Awards Waterloo Region. Anthea also holds an ARCT in Flute Performance with distinction from the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) and in 2012 won the RCM’s Gold Medal for Music Theory. As a freelance performer on baroque and modern flutes, Anthea has performed with many ensembles, including the K-W Chamber Orchestra, Nota Bene Baroque Players, Spiritus, Theatre of Early Music, Toronto Bach Festival, and Toronto Masque Theatre. She is a passionate music teacher with her own Waterloo studio and is also an instructor at Renaissance School of the Arts (Waterloo), the K-W Bilingual School, and West Brampton’s Arcadia Academy of Music.


    Corey Linforth

    Soprano Corey Linforth has performed as guest soloist with many Canadian groups including the Talisker Players, Spiritus Ensemble, Annex Singers, Arcady, Guelph Chamber Choir, and Eviole. In addition to earning a music degree from the University of Waterloo, she has participated in a number of summer programs in historic music: The Compleat Singer (Early Music Vancouver), Tallis Scholars’ Summer Schools (UK) and the Triora Musica Early Opera Course (Italy). While taking part in Triora Musica, she played Venere in La Dafne, by Marco di Gagliano and Nunzia in La Liberazione di Ruggiero, by Francesca Caccini. Before distancing regulations caused by Covid-19 Corey was Music Director at St. Andrew's Hespeler Presbyterian Church and led the Cambridge Kiwanis Boys Choir. She is also a founding member of Eviole, an early music ensemble specializing in 17th-century music written by and for women.


    Scott Knarr

    Scott Knarr holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Ottawa where he studied organ with Karen Holmes and Frances Macdonnell. He did further study at Laval University in Quebec City with Father Antoine Bouchard. He has served as music director at churches in Ottawa, Quebec City and Montreal. After 12 years at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Waterloo, he began as Diaconal Minister of Music at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Kitchener, in 2019.

    Scott received his Master of Arts in Theology: Christian Studies from Waterloo Lutheran Seminary (now Martin Luther University College) and was ordained deacon in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. In 2019 Scott was music director for the Diakonia of the Americas and the Caribbean conference held in Vancouver.  He serves as facilitator for the Music for the Spirit youth music program on Six Nations of the Grand River Territory.
