Sharing God's love as a caring faith community

St. Matthews Lutheran Church

Services and Sermons

Come and worship with us every Sunday at 9:30 am

Jesus says, "Come to me all you who labour and are carrying heavy burdens..."

We practice Eucharistic hospitality, which means all are invited to the Lord's table, whether we are cradle Lutherans, non-Lutherans, agnostic, baptized or not baptized, long time Kitchener residents, travellers on a journey, fervent believers or just plain confused, all are welcome to the Lord's table at St. Matthews.

Holy Communion is normally celebrated on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the months, as well as all Festival Sundays.

Sunday school runs from September to June and is offered for age 3 to grade 12. The Grade 7 & 8 class is offered through the Confirmation program. Age 3-Grade 6 classes are taught through the classroom based Spark Curriculum. Grades 9-12 are taught in one class and use the Re:form curriculum.  This year’s highlight was our Christmas pageant, “Live from Bethlehem,” which included approximately 50 children and youth.
